About Us
BronzeSea.org
William Barth Osmundsen, created his sculpture series
Bronzes From the Sea
after sailing onboard Norway's Tall Ship
Christian Radich
during Operation Sail 1976.
The Opening Exhibit was presented by
Scandinavian Airlines
at their Rockefeller Center Location on 5th Avenue
(near the location of TV's NBC Today Show).
A page 2 feature article in Norway's popular tabloid newspaper VG followed. Osmundsen was invited to exhibit in Norway during their OpSail,
Opsailen '78,
held in Oslo. The well known Norwegian Silver Shop David-Andersen hosted the exhibit in their main Oslo store on Karl Johns Gt.
At the Helm
, now a trademark artwork of the Artist, was purchased by the
City of Oslo
and presented during Norway's Tall Ship Ceremonies to the Captain and Crew of the Christian Radich by HM King Olav V of Norway.
