Successful Exhibit with David-Andersen, during Operation Sail, led to their commission of a series of miniature At the Helms' in Sterling Silver for sale in Oslo. Scandinavian Airlines also commissioned an original limited edition motif;- Flight of the Terns for presentation to Knut Hargrup, president and CEO of SAS on his retirement.

Osmundsen's involvement in these activates led to his introduction to the Norwegian born activity, Ski for Light,  brought to the United States by Olav Pedersen, . A participating guide at the 1979 Squaw Valley, California event Osmundsen conceived his sculpture "Ski for Light - Art for Sight" at the event.  This concept and his expanded series of Bronzes from the Sea, were introduced in Houston, Texas during the Festival of Nations 1980  presented under the auspices of
HRH Prince Harald of Norway.
